Support us

To coincide with the Foundation’s name change, we are launching a major new appeal to raise vital funds to continue our important work.

We have ambitious plans to develop the foundation and to build on the significant achievements of the past two decades, but need your support in order to do this.

The Foundation relies on the generosity of our supporters and we greatly appreciate donations of any size, no matter how small. As a small charity we do not have large overheads and so any funds we raise contribute directly to our conservation work. For our new appeal we are looking, in particular, for 200 people or organisations to donate £250 or more to become RDWF Conservation Champions. In doing so you will play an integral role in this exciting new phase for the foundation and receive exclusive updates on the work you are supporting. You will also receive an invitation to our annual lecture; a great opportunity to hear about our current work and plans for the future.

The support of our Conservation Champions will enable us to:

  • Launch a major new initiative to increase the number of breeding pairs of ospreys in southern parts of the UK
  • Continue to monitor and protect breeding ospreys in Scotland and other parts of the UK
  • Provide advice and support for osprey projects in the UK and Europe
  • Satellite tag ospreys for conservation purposes, continue the colour-ringing programme and maintain important links along the migration flyway to Africa
  • Continue vital satellite-tracking and monitoring of golden eagles in Scotland
  • Investigate potential for proactive range recovery of golden eagles and white-tailed eagles in the UK, through translocation, artificial nest building etc.
  • Continue our programme of red squirrel translocations across the Highlands
  • Campaign for large scale ecosystem restoration and rewilding
  • Contribute to think tanks and conservation debate
  • Provide valuable experience in nature conservation for young people
  • Get involved with new proactive conservation projects

To become a RDWF Conservation Champion, please follow the link below to donate a minimum of £250. Then please click on the link back to our site afterwards to Gift Aid your donation, enabling us to claim an extra 25% from the government. If you would prefer to make a smaller donation then you can do so in the same way.
