Red 8T starts his autumn migration

Red 8T was at and around the nest in the morning until 10am when he had flown to Loch Morlich and then headed through the Cairngorm mountains. An hour late he was south of Braemar heading for the Glenshee ski centre and at midday he was over Couper Angus and then to Fife, leaving the coast at Methil to fly across the Firth of Forth to Longniddry at 2pm.  At 4pm he was at Bonchester Bridge and soon stopped for the night in the Borders Forests just north of the English Border after 140 miles
