Rothiemurchus is still in usual place (9th March). Last month Chris Wood found Rothiemurchus when he went and searched for him on 20th February – the Gambian bird guide JJ organised his trip. They searched for quite a while with no luck but two local Senegalese fishermen took them in a dugout canoe and they found hime at his usual location,on mud banks next to a tributary of the main river. Chris siad “He looked well and the tracker aerial was clearly visible. Also another osprey nearby but no ring.I got a picture of Rothie but not the best.” Chris’s photo below
