Beatrice set off before 0800GMT and left the NW corner of Cherbourg after 0900hrs and an hour later was over the Channel flying NNW at 36km/hr. 3 hours later at 1pm BST She was SSE of Portland Bill flying towards land at sea level. She headed on passing Yeaovil and across the Bristol Channel from Cleveland to Newport, andf finally came to roost for the night NW of Abergavenny after 306 km
