At last Rothiemurchus has set off on migration. He left his wintering site sometime after 1045 GMT and flew north and by 14:00 hours he had flown 95 km and was heading for Diourbel. Once again he is a late migrator and I hope that he makes very good time flying north so that he gets a chance of finding a nest and a mate and breeding this year. It’s about time!
