Blue XD crossed the Channel yesterday between 1437GMT and arrived over Hayling Island at 5.40pm. He flew 272 km during the day, and roosted in woods north of Emsworth in Hampshire. This morning (8th) he flew north before returning to the channel north of Hayling Island, where he probably caught afish, as he then perched just north of the Northney Marina until 10.03am when he set off north.
