Beatrice roosted near Aranjuez on night of 28th February and next day, 1st March, flew east of Madrid and completed a flight of 225 km to roost overnight near Soria. On 2nd she headed for the mountains north of Pamplona but had to turn back and roost in the Spanish foothills near Lantz. On 3rd March she crossed the Pyrenees into France at 1045GMT and roosted overnight west of Ponlonx-sur-l’Adour. Next morning she flew to her favourite stop-over on the River Adour. Since then she has been ranging in that area, more widley than in other springs.
