This evening Blue XD has crossed the Sahara and the first data is starting to be collected by mobile phone masts. The track below is from 1613GMT to 1742GMT this afternoon when he covered 65 km NNE. The data for the last 5 days will be slowly downloaded through the system and will show his route over the Sahara Desert. He is now heading for the Med.
Later data showed he flew 410km today and roosted in the veneing in rocky ravines south of Gourrama
