Blue XD had a great day’s flight of 520km. At 0800GMT he started his migration over the Midlle Atlas mountains and by 1434GMT was west of Taza. He flew NNW through Morocco and cleared the coast at 1752GMT when he was flying at 46km/hr at an altitude of 1549 metres. His flight was well east of normal routes, being 84 km east of Gibraltar, and his altitude had dropped to just above sea level after an hour flying. He arrived at the Spanish coast east of Malaga at 2145GMT and immediately roosted in an olive grove 2 km inland near Almayate.
