I have received no further data from Cromarty’s transmitter. The GSM transmitters give incredible data when they work, but because they only give data when in mobile phone range it is difficult to work out what has happened when no data comes in. So all I can say is that the transmitter might have failed or that Cromarty has died on migration over the Sahara, or in Senegal/Gambia prior to the Sahara migration. We will look for him in Strathspey because if it is a transmitter problem he is most likely to visit Rothiemurchus fishery this coming spring.
