Foinaven

Recrossed Loch Ness to the Monadhliaths

Flew north of Loch Ness

Foinavon remained on Coignafearn & Glenmazeran from 3rd to 7th June and then north Aberarder before flying NW over Loch Ness on 14th June to the hills between Strathfarrar and Strathconon. On evening of 16th he was close to MealFuarvonie above Loch Ness.

June 2nd – 16th

Big flight around Highlands

Foinaven stayed at Coignafearn until 14th and then flew south to Ben A’Bhuird in the Cairngorms on 16th, on 19th flew over Carn Kitty in Moray and west over Dava Moor to Coignafearn on 20th May, but by the evening he had flown north to Ben Hope and Loyal. On 21st was near Strathhalladale, on 21st and 22nd was on the Heights of Knockfin but on 24th flew south to return to Coignafearn

Dulnain River

On 3rd May flew southside of Coignafearn and then on into the headwaters of the River Dulnain

 

Back to Monadhliaths

Foinaven returned to Coignafearn and Glenmazeran by 20th April and ranged in an area of 36 square km

Big flight to Cape Wrath

Foinavon stayed there until 13th April, when he moved to Coignafearn in the Monadhliaths. On 16th he set off from there at 10am and was on Cape Wrathside by 4pm – 100 mile flight to NW Sutherland in 5 hours.

To Ladder Hills – Glen Fiddich

Foinaven was living in Glenmuick area on 1st to 3rd April, then on 3rd north to the Loch Builg area until 5th April, when he went on to the Ladder Hills and Glenfiddich, and then lived there and the Cabrach/Glenlivet to 8th.

Mar 31st – Apr 8th

Big change – off to Aberdeenshire

After a long stay SE of Loch Tay, Foinavon set off north on 23rd March to Rannoch and then Loch Ericht area. Then moved to the An Sgarscoch area of North Perthshire before flying east to reach Glentanar on 31st March at 11am. Then moved southonto Invermark in Angus.
