The Foundation coordinates the colour ringing of ospreys in the UK. This map shows the location of notable sightings of colour-ringed birds during autumn 2017. Use the map controls or your mouse to move around the map and click on the osprey thumbnails for details of each sighting and more information about the bird. To report a sighting click here.
The map also shows the migration tracks of Blue DF (blue line) and Blue JV3 (pink line) both adult male ospreys from Strathspey that we satellite-tagged in September 2017. Click on the points to see the date and time of each GPS fix.
