New Beginnings blog 6th June

Golden Eagle satellite tracking pages updated 6th June –   (click on name to go to tracking page):  Roxy, Canisp,  GlobeLoyal,   Agnes and Mackay

Dreadful week forecast of heavy rain – not good for ospreys with small young. Numbers are about usual but a few pairs this year are very late and still only half way through incubation.

We carried out a new red squirrel translocation to the NTS gardens at Inverewe, Wester Ross in March.  Recent news is that they are being seen regularly by visitors and locals. Our 2013 translocation to Alladale and Amat area has resulted in colonisation into the River Oykell catchment, up to 15 miles from the release area – with delighted reports of red squirrels in a garden at Rosehall.

We can only carry out our projects and show the results on this website, if we receive funding through donations and grants, please support us if you can and if you would like to sponsor a special project please contact me at roydennis@aol.com

Very many thanks to everyone who has contributed through Paypal in the last year and to those who recently sponsored our work

Thank you very much
