Loyal continued to range in the area between Ben Armine and Ben Klibreck until 15th October when she moved north-east to Caithness, mainly just north of Morven to at least 25th of October.

Loyal has spent the month living in an area of 112 km² centred on Ben Armine Lodge in south-east Sutherland.

A lot of ranging in Sutherland

At the start of the month, Loyal was ranging quite a big area around Ben Armine Lodge and then flew west to the north side of Ben Mor Assynt. On 7th August she made a big flight north to Whiten Head by 9 AM then back to the Reay Forest at 2 PM, by 3 PM was between Altnaharra and Kinloch, then to the Sandwood Bay area and back – day’s flight of 58 miles.

Loyal has ranged in an area of moorland west and north of Morven throughout July, except for a two day return trip to Loch Hope on 5th/6th July and a one day flight to the Tongue area and back on 9th July.
Flow country of Sutherland and south Caithness

Loyal remains ranging in large area of flow country (340 square km) from Kinbrace to south Caithness

Loyal was just NW of Kinbrace at the beginning of May and then moved to the Morven area on 4th May and remained in the Flow Country to the SW and north of Morven in south Caithness through the month.

Cape Wrath and back to the Flows

Loyal remained mainly in the Knockfin Heights flows from north of Strathhelmsdale to Forsinaird but on 18th April flew west to Loch Naver and next day flew to Cape Wrath t 1pm and returned via Ben Hee 4pm, 7pm by Loch Choire.

Loyal was much more of a stay-at-home eaglet than her sister Hope. She remained with her parents throughout July – December 2014, except for short trips to Loch Loyal and back 4th – 9th October and to Cape Wrathside on 5th – 8th November. In 2015, she did another return trip to Cape Wrathside 21st -24th January and south to Lairg and back on January 30th to February 6th. She finally left home on 27th February (or was pushed out by her parents?) and headed SE to the Ben Griams near Kinbrace. On 4th March she moved east to the Morven area of Caithness and then north on 14th to the Flows east of Forsinaird and then on 20th back to Morven area.
