She roosted north of Vallodolid on night of 27th/28th and flew on SW to reach the Rio Tormes, south of La Maya evening of 28th August. Next morning it was a short flight for her to reach her usual wintering site, Embalse Gabriel y Galan, at 11am on 29th August. She flew straight to her favourite daytime locations on the reservoir.

Green J roosted overnight on 13th/14th August near the Bain Valley Fisheries near Coningsby, and next morning flew on south and roosted that night in Thetford Forest. On the 15th she flew on south and at midday was heading for the Channel coast at Rye. She flew across the sea to come ashore near Dieppe and roosted near Rouen. On 16th and 17th she continued slowly south through France and on the night of 1th/18th Green J was just south of the River Loire near Amboise
Off on autumn migration
Green J left her nest area on 7th August after getting a fish from Blue XD; by evening she was roosting near Harlaw Reservoir, Balerno, south of Edinburgh. She was back near Moffat in the Borders on 8th August and visited Kielder Forest next day before spending a couple of days at Derwent reservoir. On 13th August she was flying SSE near Scunthorpe at 2pm
Summer journeys
Green J was not successful this summer and seemed to fail just at or after hatching time. She stayed around the nest and was provisoned with fish by her mate Blue XD. On June 16th she flew west to Spey Dam and then south by Loch Earn to the Borders. She set up home on Camps Reservoir and then wandered to various lochs to the north of Moffat, with a return flight to the Peebes area. Much to my surprise she headed back north on 14th July was back at her nest in Strathspey that evening
Home coming in the evening
Green J got off to a good start and by 2pm was west of Bankfoot and at 4pm turned NNE at Blair Atholl. An hour later she was south of Cairn Toul in the Cairngorms and flew along the Larig Ghru, over Rothiemurchus Forest and arrived at her nest at 6.15pm. She was stranding on the eyroie at 7pm and 8pm, and then roosted overnight ina tree a fwe hundred metres west. Asuccessful migration north to join her mate Blue XD after both made another round trip to their wintering grounds.

Green J crossed the English Channel on 9th April, from Criel-sur-Mer to Winchelsea Sands. Flew on north and crossed the River Thames estuary at Gravesend and came to roost for the night, after 205 km, in a strip of riverine woodland west oF Basildon. On 10th she started migrating at 7.45am and flew NNW and just after 4pm passed over Leicester and toosted overnight in field trees near Bartlewood Lodge, between Derby and Ilkeston, after a flight of 199km
