After being very sedentary on the rivers, Beatrice has taken 4 long flights to the coast and back  in the day as far as Palmonas bay – 24 km each way. Either the river is flooded and fishing was difficult, or she wanted some sea water fish for a change.

Beatrice is now very settled on upper river

Beatrice has been very settled in the upper part of the river and the small pond in the orange groves, where I saw her last year

Beatrice has spent last ten days in her old haunts on the Rover Guadiaro and tributary – not rang

Beatrice went back to River Guadiaro on 25th November and stayed to 27th before flying back south to Palmones and Algerciras Bay. on 1st and 2nd December she was back on the river, as well as visitin the coast.

november 21st to december 2nd

Beatrice has been more often at Palmones and roosting inland, with a visit to the River Guadiaro on 6th to 8th Nvember. On 12th she was near Algeciras.

November 1st to 12th

On 24th October Beatrice set off from her usual haunts and flew north to Reservoir Zahara north of Ubrique then flew back south to be home again by 1600GMT. On 27th she visited the mouth of the river and the Mediterranean coast in the morning, and on 29th flew south to Palmones and back. On 31st she flew  again to Palmones and stayed in that area but inland that night. Must be problems with fishing on the river Guadiaro this winter.

October 20th to 31st

Beatrice in usual haunts with a 9 km flight to the west in afternoon of 13th October

Octobe 8th to 20th

On 9th and 10th October Beatrice had returned to the usual wintering haunts on the River Guadiaro.

Beatrice hasade return visits to the Reservoir de la Concepcion on 23rd to 25th and 29th September, in between time being at the usual haunts on the River Gaudiaro.
