In south Caithness

107 spent the whole time in the flow country of southern Caithness, to the north, west and east of Morven; on 5th September at midday she was within 1 mile of the sea coast.

Big fly round North Sutherland

107 was in the usual area south-west of Morven until  19th July when he flew to Loch Choire for the night of 19th/20th. On 20th July he did a big flight north, being just south-east of the road junction at Melvich/Bighouse before turning south and flying over for Forsinaird hotel at 5pm. He then moved slowly to the Knochfin Heights and ranged south on the Kinbrace hills.

He returned to Caithness

107 was in the Monadhliaths as normal until 7th July and then on 8th July flew all the way back to his earlier haunts in Caithness, mainly to the west and north-west of Morven.

107 has spent the whole period at Coignafearn ranging in an area of 21 km² – he should be busy roosting

107 has remained living in Coignafearn and occasionally into Garrogie, andduring the latter part of the period was at Coignafearn at same time as his sister

South to Coignafearn

106 was in North Sutherland and Caithness until 16 May, when he set off south reaching Loch Orrin at 2pm and crossing Loch Ness at 4pm. By 8pm he was back at Coignafearn in his old haunts, and he was still there next day

Another circuit of N Sutherland and Caithness

107 was in the area SW of Loch Choire and on 23rd flew north via Kinbrace to Strathnaver, and then next day to Shurrery in Caithness and so south to Dunbeath moors. On 26th was back SW of Loch Choire
