He did a big circuit of Sutherland and southern Caithness
Ranging in Sutherland
From Monadhliaths to North Sutherland
Photographed in a camera trap
107 did a big circuit of Loch Shin on 10th and then north to Morven in Caith ness at 2pm on 11th but straight back south to the Loch Buidhe area north of Bonar Bridge. He ranged around here until 18th and then flew north to Ben Klibreck and then to Strathbrora.
Later I received an email from Kevin Cuthbert who had a camera trap on carrion west of Loch Buidhe and quickly managed to work out it was 107. Kevin’s photo was taken at 5.46pm on 17th and the GPS for 6pm showed 107 circling over the exact spot. Kevin said there’s mist on the lens of the camera but it’s great to get one of our tagged eagles photographed by a camera trap. These new techniques are going to teach us new things about eagles.
