107 flew north on the 20th and reached the Corriemulzie area by the afternoon and stayed there until the 23rd when he flew south over Alladale and reached Strath Orrin by evening. Left on the 25th and by 7 AM was back at Coignafearn.

107 was on Coignafearn until 15th May and then flew down to Loch Cuaich near Dalwhinnie, on 17th and 18th was near Loch Laggan, and then back north to Garrogie on 18th/19th and finally returned to Coignafearn to 23rd May.

107 settled in the Eskin River on Coignafearn to 9th May – on several days his locations were just 1.5 kms from his sister (106) (yellow loactions on map; sister’s track in red and yellow.

Over and back Loch Ness

Left Coignafearn on 24th April and flew north over Loch Ness (81km/hr over Loch Ness opposite Foyers) and settled between Dundreggan and Affric to 1st May. At midday on 1st flew south over Fort Augustus and to Loch Spey before returning to Garrogie and then Coignafearn.

To North Caithness and back

On 16th April 107 flew from Coignafearn to Reay in North Caithness. Stayed in Flow Country to 18th and then flew to west Kildonan and later on 19th flew to Loch Ness and next day back to Coignafearn – 100 miles as-the-crow-flies each way. What amazing journeys these young eagles make – it shows how well some individuals get to know Scotland before they breed.

106 was south of Forsinaird on 1st and 2nd April, then on 3rd he flew south, crossed Kildonan at 5pm, Bonar Bridge at 7pm, Loch Glass at 8pm and roosted between Strathconon and Loch Orrin after a big day’s flight. Next day he flew over Mauld then Loch Ness to arrive in Garrogie at 2pm, since then he has been living in the Monadhliaths south of Loch Mhor.

South of Badanloch to 8th, then to north Helmsdal and from 9th to 12th was north of Morven. He flew on north and frequented the flows south of Altnabreac plantations to 16th.

He was around the Morven area and then moved a little NW towards Forsinaird on 17th -18th, and then 18th to 20th around Ben Griam Beg – when it is most likely he met his parents. On 20th – 21st he moved down east of Kinbrace and by 22nd was back in the Morven area.
