Roxy has bred successfully with one young and has started started to range more widely from the nest site – up to 3 km in early July and up to 6 km from the nesting site from mid month
No change
Calluna spent July ranging in what is now her home range in north Angus after failing to breed successfully for the first time in 2016.
Settled in the Monadhliaths
Usual wide ranging in the Cairngorms national Park
Mackay started the month of July on Glenfeshie estate and them flew east to Braemar on 8th and 9th July, then north to Ben Avon and on to Inchrory. On the 14th flew south to Angus glens and was near Mount Battock on 14th to 18th July. Then moved to the Angus march north of Glen Clova to 25th of July and on the 28th flew north-west over Braemar to spend the last days of July on Abernethy Forest reserve.
Ranging widely in Ross and Sutherland
Stayed in the Monadhliath mountains

Lost sat-tag
Aquila flew down through the Dulnan Valley in early June and went to a roost by the river on 15th June, and the satellite tag became detached from the eagle. Somehow she picked at the stitching and removed it. The tag was recovered. Sadly we will not be to follow the rest of her life
Change in her behaviour
Calluna has started to move around more in her home range in the North Angus glens
