This map shows the extent of wandering during 2012 by Suilven – something like a range of 7,500 square km

Ranging by Suilven January to December 2012

Suilven was near Quinag on 12th and 13th January and then flew to spend time in his natal area south of Loch Assynt, before drifting SE from 24th and arriving in Alladale on 26th

January 12th to 28th

Suilven was ranging in the Loch Assynt area until 28th December and then flew east to spend time just north of Oykell Bridge Hotel to 4th January

December 25th to January 4th

On 13th December was on south side of Groban, west of Fannichs, then flew north and from that evening to 18th was south of Loch Urigill. On 18th and 19th was near Cam Loch at Elphin.

On 21st, Suilven was still in the Ben Dearg area, next day moved north to the moors south of Loch Urigill until 1sth December. On 2nd was north of the loch, then moved west and from 3rd to 6th was in its natal area around Loxch Assynt, before drifting north to Quinag.

Moved from the Inverpooly area to Glendhu and SE to the topof Loch Shin, and then south towards Ullapool  on 26th October, before drifting to the east and north of Ben Dearg and then to Loch Glascarnoch

Suilven ranged in an area around Loch Assynt, mainly to the south, from 10th tpo 17th October, including visiting her natal range, then on 17th she flew a little south and settle in the moors west of Elphin to 20th October

Suilven was at Croick on 3rd – 4th October, 4th at Alladale, Strathvaich on 4th to 7th and back to Alladale on 7th – 8th October

October 3rd to 8th

Suilven flew south to Loch na Damph area on 20th September, then west to the area south of Elphin before flying north on 28th past Lochinver and feteching up at Cranstackie south of Durness. On 29th flew back all the way south to teh Urigill moors by 9pm, and a little further south next day

September 17th to 29th

Flew south over Strath Helmsdale on 7th and then to the upper Brora

September 1st to 13th
