Suilven has settled in the low hills south of Loch Laxford and east of the Scourie road.

Moving around North Sutherland
Suilven was on the Reay Estate on 15th to 18th, then north to the mountain rudges south of Durness on 19th February. Next day he flew east to south of Ben hope and then stayed in that area and moved slowly towards Ben Loyal on 22nd. On 23rd he flew across the loch and was south of Borgie and then on 25th was in the area east of Strathnaver Post Office.
NW Sutherland
Another big circuit of Sutherland
Suilven was near Ben Armine on 22nd, and then north to Badanloch and roosted near Loch Choire on 23rd/24th January. On 24th flew west to Loch Fiag and then settled between Achfary and Kinloch to the 30th. On 31st flew north to Sandside Bay, Cape Wrathside and spent time on that side with a flight across to the hills south of Durness before returning Capeside on 4th/5th February.
A big flight around NW Sutherland
The few days of better weather set Suilven off on a longer flight. He was west of Achnasheen at 4sm on 16th January. By that afternoon he was at Sail Mharam overlooking Little Loch Broom where he roosted. Next day he flew and was near Achmelvich at 2pm and roosted west of Loch Poll that night. On 18th he flew north to the Durness hills and roosted that night to the west of Laid; by 2pm on the 19th he was over the north end of Loch Loyal and roosted overnight on the slopes of Ben Stumanadh. At 20th he was flying south and at 2pm was south of Loch Coul.
In Wester Ross
On nights of 2nd/3rd and 3rd/4th January Suilven roosted in trees along the river below A832 just west of Braemore Junction; and on 8th January was south of the west end of Loch a’Chroisg, west of Achnasheen.
